Johnson & Johnson is the founding sponsor of Safe Kids Worldwide.
Since 1988, Johnson & Johnson has worked with Safe Kids to teach families about child injury prevention. This unwavering support from Johnson & Johnson has enabled Safe Kids to develop programs, conduct local clinics, do research, advocate for policy, place media and enhance an online presence for injury prevention messaging, including water safety, fire safety, bike safety, medicine safety, home safety and youth sports safety.
At Johnson & Johnson, we want all children to grow up healthy and well. As the founding sponsor of Safe Kids in 1988, we have worked collaboratively, for 28 years, on multiple risk areas that pose the greatest threat to children around the world. We have sponsored research and local programming, provided targeted national education messages and more, all with the goal of keeping kids active, healthy and safe.
-Sarah L. Colamarino, Vice President, Corporate Equity & Partnerships, Johnson & Johnson
In addition to extensive work in the United States, which includes medicine safety work, Johnson & Johnson supports Safe Kids programs in China, Vietnam, Brazil and South Africa. Its commitment through the years has been a major reason for a 60 percent decrease in the unintentional injury rate among children 19 and younger.
“Johnson & Johnson’s steadfast support of Safe Kids Worldwide has helped lead to a significant reduction in injuries, improving the health and well-being of families both in the U.S. and in countries around the world. Without Johnson & Johnson's longstanding commitment, Safe Kids couldn't have become the go-to resource for children's safety that it is today."
