Alexis Kagiliery-Lee

East Coast Operations Manager, Safe Kids Buckle Up

Alexis manages the Safe Kids Buckle Up program for all U.S. coalitions east of the Mississippi and provides support to five states within the field department. Based in Florida, Alexis serves as a liaison between the Safe Kids Buckle Up department, the national office, state and local coalitions, and program sponsors.

Allison Murphy

Annual Giving Coordinator

Allison researches corporate prospects, drafts partnership proposals and works with the members of the Business Champions Program. Additionally, she also manages participatory fundraising programs such as the Marine Corps Marathon and the Combined Federal Campaign.

Alyssa Hahn

Intern

Alyssa works as a Safe Kids Buckle Up program intern, specifically on the Never Leave Your Child Alone in a car hyperthermia awareness campaign. As a rising junior at Georgetown University, Alyssa studies psychology and economics.

Angela Mickalide

Director of Research and Programs

Angela Mickalide, Ph.D., MCHES is the Director of Research and Programs for Safe Kids Worldwide. She oversees home safety programming, Safe Kids USA coalition and chapter efforts, and global research in all unintentional childhood injury risk areas.

Anthony Green

Director of Public Policy

Anthony Green is the Safe Kids’ Director of Public Policy. In that role he works with the Safe Kids team to press for policies—legislation, regulatory measures, educational programs and other tools—to protect kids safety.

Candice Ahwah-Gonzalez

Program Associate, Fire and Water Safety

Candice Ahwah-Gonzalez is the Program Associate for the Fire and Water safety programs at Safe Kids USA. She has professional experience in conducting public health research including planning, implementing, and evaluating public health programs on a community and national level.

Dan Orzechowski

Senior Manager, U.S. Coalition Network

Dan manages nearly 100 coalitions in 15 states. In addition to monitoring coalition performance and ensuring compliance with Safe Kids USA requirements, he offers technical support in coalition-building, lead organization relations, grant funding from headquarters and strategic direction.

Emily Samuel

Program Manager - Water Safety

Emily is responsible for the development and management of the Safe Kids water safety initiative. She has professional experience in the areas of injury prevention, health education, and behavioral health. She has worked with children, teens, and young adults for a number of years in academic and community-based environments.

Gary Barnes

Staff Accountant

Gary is the Staff Accountant at the Safe Kids Worldwide headquarters in Washington, D.C., where he coordinates day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable. He also serves as the liaison to parent organization Children’s National Medical Center.

J.J. Current

CPS Certification Coordinator

J.J. manages the national Child Passenger Safety certification database, provides direct customer support to the CPS certification program clients, and provides technical answers to child passenger safety questions from parents, clinicians and certified technicians. He is a certified CPS technician instructor.

James Cornett

Director of Information Technology

James manages the IT department. He is a veteran IT professional who has provided information technology management and support to nonprofit, corporate and national association clients.

Jane Enright

Senior Graphic Designer

Jane designs all of the organization's visual communications. Her work includes marketing collateral, educational materials, logos, posters, exhibits, conference materials and web graphics.

Julia Baker

Intern

Julia works as part of International Operations within Safe Kids Worldwide. She is a recent graduate from the George Washington University School of Public Heath and Health Services where she recieved her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Global Health Epidemiology.

Kate Carr

President and CEO, Safe Kids Worldwide

Kate Carr serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of SafeKids Worldwide, a global network of organizations dedicated to preventing unintentional childhood injury, the leading cause of death and disability to children ages 1 to 14.

Katherine Collins

Public Relations Associate

Katherine provides communications and marketing support to Safe Kids USA with a focus on the Buckle-Up program. She is responsible for online media as well as print, radio and broadcast.

Kerry Chausmer

Director of Certification

Kerry manages the online certification program, which includes technician and instructor certification and re-certification. She works to improve communication between certificants and Safe Kids Worldwide with a monthly e-newsletter, the CPS Express.

Kim Herrmann

CPS Certification Specialist

Kim is responsible for managing the series of certification courses and technical update grants from State Farm. She is also a regular contributor to the CPS Express e-newsletter.

Kristin Rosenthal

Program Associate - Walk This Way

Kristin Rosenthal is the Program Associate for the Walk This Way Program. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Studies and Psychology from Michigan State University and graduated from her undergraduate studies as a member of The International Honor Society in Psychology.

Lindsay Hansen

Program Manager - Recreational Safety

Lindsay is the Recreational Safety Program Manager at Safe Kids USA, where she provides leadership, expertise and management of Safe Kids’ national educational initiatives on youth sports injury prevention.

Line Storgaard-Conley

Director Interactive Services

Line is responsible for developing and managing Safe Kids comprehensive online strategy, including internal and external promotion, content creation, design development and implementation, and on-line partnership building.

Lorrie Walker

Training Manager & Technical Advisor, Safe Kids Buckle Up

Lorrie is the training manager and technical advisor for the Safe Kids Buckle Up program, where she develops community-based educational programs on vehicle safety and oversees the national training program for more than 300 Safe Kids coalitions throughout the United States.

Margarita Teutler

Administrartive Assistant - Worldwide Operations and Walk This Way

Margarita provides administrative support for the Safe Kids Walk This Way program and the worldwide operations departments. Prior to joining Safe Kids Worldwide in December 2010, she worked with the administrative team at the Inova Fairfax Hospital Child Care Center.

Mina Tobin

Manager Interactive Services

Mina is responsible for implementing Safe Kids online strategy: she creates and edits content; manages the constituent database; develops the infrastructure for building online relationships with Safe Kids supporters; advises on effective use of website management software.

Moira Donahue

Director, International Operations and Walk This Way program

As the Director of International Operations, Moira is responsible for the organization and expansion of the 18 country Safe Kids Worldwide network. She coordinates multi-country initiatives and is the liaison to global partners such as the World Health Organization.

Priti Gautam

Program Associate for International Operations

Priti is the Program Associate for International Operations. She is responsible for coordinating and supporting international activities and network members. Additionally, Priti will assist in developing and coordinating the international Walk This Way pedestrian safety programs.

Rosemary Suggs-Evans

Senior Manager, U.S. Coalition Network

Rosemary serves as the primary point of contact for more than 70 Safe Kids coalitions in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the United States. She is responsible for providing expertise in establishing and sustaining Safe Kids coalitions nationwide.

Torine Creppy

Executive Director, Safe Kids Buckle Up Program Operations

Torine leads the Safe Kids Buckle Up program for Safe Kids USA. Previously, she served as Safe Kids Worldwide operations manager and Safe Kids Buckle Up operations manager, where she was responsible for program operations and diversity initiatives.

Wes Bender

West Coast Operations Manager, Safe Kids Buckle Up

Wes Bender serves as the liaison between local Safe Kids coalitions in the western region, the national office, and program sponsor General Motors. He helps to facilitate partnerships with GM dealerships and Safe Kids coalitions, and provides support to local child passenger safety efforts.

Wyatt Becquette

Information Technology Specialist

Wyatt provides desktop support for Safe Kids employees, ensures compliances with technology advances, and assists with the intranet.
