This year for the first time, Safe Kids Worldwide held a national coloring contest in conjunction with International Walk to School Day. Students in grades K through 6 were encouraged to submit their creative, original artwork centering on the contest’s theme of pedestrian safety and modeling safe behaviors.

Each participating Safe Kids coalition nominated one local winner to Safe Kids Worldwide.  A panel chose the national winner and two runners up.

The winning entrant’s design will be made into a t-shirt that will be given to the winner’s classmates.  All three winning entries will also receive a prize from FedEx .
